Re opened 3rd February 2026 after closure in July 2024, and then bought by Heartwood Inns, refurbished to a high standard. The first location in the chain to accept cash.

Marstons re-opened this pub in May 2019, having been closed for a few months after the departure of a craft beer brewer who had taken it over in July 2018.

First licenced in 1868. Two bars created from two cottages. Conservatory restaurant added many years ago.
