Marstons re-opened this pub in May 2019, having been closed for a few months after the departure of a craft beer brewer who had taken it over in July 2018.

First licenced in 1868. Two bars created from two cottages. Conservatory restaurant added many years ago. Kitchen opens at Noon for main menu till about 9.

Reported February 2024 real ale is discontinued.
